When most people think of yoga, they think of it as a physical form of exercise for bendy people.

However, while the physical practices and poses of yoga will improve your fitness and flexibility, yoga is actually an ancient Indian toolkit of mostly psychological practices that are just as helpful today as they were over 5000 years ago.

 

The practices include; breath work, postures, meditation, mindfulness, self study and philosophical reflection.

Together and individually, these yoga skills are practiced with the purpose to quieten and ease the mind.

And lead us into a state of connection, a state of yoga, with our innate inner peace, vitality and joy.
